I can't believe how depressed I am about the Tote. It's got me thinking about my life. Is it a transistion period that life and the universe is forcing me to live an old lady existence? Or just that life as I know (knew) it is being taken over by greedy,self serving bastards who gentrify the areas we love with rampant conservatism?
In case you may have missed it, the 7.30 Report on ABC aired a story on the Tote last night. Good on you Channel 2.

The Arthouse.. May 2011. Even the Greek Taverna on Chapel St can't have a bloke playing the bouzouki without 2 security guards.

Australian Idol- that's probably what they think the way forward is. Bleahhhhh!
Idol--- oh dear. That is just young talent time without the pre-pubescent kids and Johhny Young's wandering hands.
We need a national protest- not just a Melbourne one. It's not just the Tote- our pub music scene is being murdered before our eyes.
I propose we gather interest via Facebook,Twitter or whatever it takes to incite the masses. Each state should have a rally outside Parliament House in their state to fight stupid licensing laws and to save live music!
