The Writing's On The Wall

If the graffiti on the wall of a cubicle of the women's toilets at Flinders St station is anything to go by, this is the latest prophecy:

Careful goths and home boys, you might be next...

Something else for the Emo's to feel sad about?

Oh no more alienation... boo hoo. Off to paint my finger and toe nails black and listen to My Chemical Romance...

He he.. At least Goths can be spookily cool.

I used to be part of the goth scene about 20 years ago. A lot of them were dodgy and snobby. I loved a lot of the music but I got sick of the stinky thieving ways of people in that scene.
Within a week I cut my hair, bought jeans,a hoody, some Converse and The Stone Roses first album. The goths never spoke to me again. Good riddance and get a fucking job. And stop stealing my beer.

he he.. well I grew into the grunge scene and did not move very far! Blundstone boots, jeans, flannel shirts, caps, sometimes hoodies and runners.

Fools Gold is still one of my fav songs of all time by the way. Great stoner song.

That album is still one of my favorites...even though they were all tossers.
If you like grunge, then my housemate has a very enviable item... she met Nirvana when they toured in 92 and they signed her guitar.. she wants to get it valued to see how much it would be worth now.

far out.. Really? Cobain included? It would be worth a bomb!

I still remember saying to a mate that after Cobain died we would never hear from either of the other two ever again.. Boy was I wrong.

Yes it has Cobain's signature on it.
I like Dave Grohl but Foo Fighters do my head in. Even if he did have Pat Smear from the Germs in his band.
I believe that Kurt was murdered and it was Courtney that had him bumped off. I don't believe for a second that he suicided.

I saw on Family Guy a short skit with Love on the bed wasted saying "Make Love to me Kurt" and his gags on spew before saying "I am just going to do .... something first".

Grohl is a talented guy. the first album of the Foo Fighters stuff that he did all himself was impressive. Since then things have gone mainstream.

Hole was a very over rated band.

"Live Through This' is a great album because Kurt wrote it, not her. If you ever heard their first album, you know she couldn't write a song if she tried. The last album was written by Billy Corgan. All she is is a psycho junky from hell.

Fair enough. If it wasnt for him she would have OD'ed a looong time ago.

Big plans for the weekend?

Lola Lopez said...

Not really.. will probably be feeling ill on Saturday due to Christmas party indulgence the night before...
Y tu?

My weekend will be filled with family functions (because we cannot all get together on xmas day).

I am organising a rebel tour on friday evening for an unofficial xmas party.

I just remembered that on Saturday night I have a shindig for my nephew's 21st that my sis has organised and then I have to leave early to get to the Northcote Social Club to see the Lime Spiders. I wish I hadn't bought the tickets now as I really don't feel like going. Also found out the the Underground Lovers are playing at the East Brunnie club that night too which I would much rather go to.
Your rebel Christmas party should try and make it to the Bella Bar for a bit of twisting and shouting (preferably me a beer!).

What time does the Bella Bar gig start?
